We have recently become the only broker in England commissioned by The Department For Education to support create industry placement opportunities for their new T-Level Scheme within the Construction Industry. We are actively looking for construction organisations who can offer industry placements to T Level 16-19 year old students.
T Level students spend 80% of the course in the classroom, learning the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action and placements will last at least 315 hours, which will be a tailored plan to suit your company (approx.45 days).
Placements are a shift from traditional work experience to a longer, more structured placement in the workplace for young people to develop real work skills and make a meaningful contribution to your organisation.
The T-Level courses in construction that students/placements are studying are as follows:
On-site Construction - This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in construction, specifically in bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering or painting and decorating.
Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction - This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in construction, specifically in surveying and design, civil engineering, building services design, or hazardous materials surveying.
Building Services Engineering for Construction - This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in construction, specifically in areas such as electric installation and maintenance, plumbing or heating.
